In a nutshell Calvary Bible Church is a…
…non-denominational Bible church. While we do not belong to any group, we do not take pride in being a “lone ranger” type local church. We take the Bible seriously, including its emphasis on being “eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:3).
…singing church. Music style is very important to many people and not everyone enjoys the same style. We purposely create segments in our corporate worship that blend rich songs from the past and present.
…teaching church. Our belief in the nature and purpose of God’s Word results in a steady diet of preaching through books of the Bible. Each year, Sunday teaching times involve relevant, theological exposition of books of the Bible. Shorter series are also placed into the preaching calendar in between book studies or in the middle of long book studies. Our goal is for biblical information to create transformation as we apply our lives to His Story.
…missional church. Making disciples across the street and across the sea plays a vital role in our faith-family. Our desire and goal is to carry out our Lord’s command in Matthew 28:18-20 of baptizing and teaching people to do the things Jesus said to do.
